Hi neighbors,
If you’ve been part of our yoga studio—or are just getting curious about joining—there’s something I want to share with you.

While continuing to run the studio and teach classes, I’m also currently pursuing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a serious goal of becoming a
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

My passion is supporting people navigating things like:
Burnout and chronic stress
Anxiety or low mood
Life transitions and big changes
The everyday emotional rollercoaster of modern life
🧠 Why Evidence Matters in a World of Wellness Noise
Let’s face it: we’re living in a time when “wellness” advice is everywhere. Between social media trends and AI-generated content, it’s tough to know what’s real and what’s just repackaged buzzwords.
That’s why I’m focusing my own study and teaching around evidence-based tools—practices supported by research and rooted in real-world effectiveness.
These include:
Mindful movement to support nervous system balance
Breathing practices shown to reduce anxiety and enhance focus
Restorative postures that promote emotional regulation and resilience

📚 Learning (and Sharing) as I Go
As part of this learning process, I’m actively researching how yoga can be used in everyday life to support mental and emotional well-being—regardless of whether someone has a formal diagnosis or not.
And while I’m deeply engaged in clinical training, I’m not a licensed counselor yet, and I will not be offering therapy, diagnosis, or treatment for mental health conditions.
What I will be offering is practical, yogic tools to support your mental wellness—things like breathwork, movement, and mindfulness techniques you can use in real time to manage stress, stay grounded, or reconnect to yourself.

🎥 What to Expect
In the coming weeks, I’ll begin posting:
Short, research-supported yoga + breath sequences
Tips for navigating stress and emotional ups & downs
Explanations of how these practices affect your brain and body
Everything I share will be rooted in clinical understanding and real-world application, but always clearly framed as wellness—not therapy.
🤝 A Place to Feel Supported

Whether you’re dealing with something difficult or just want a steady, supportive practice, I hope these offerings will serve you. My vision for the studio has always been about more than physical fitness—it’s about whole-person well-being, in ways that are practical, respectful, and grounded in care.
Thanks for being on this journey with me. I’m excited to keep growing—and sharing—along the way.
With care,
Steele
